Withins Within

‘Withins Within’ is a new work by moving image artist Annie Crabtree, depicting the pursuit of belonging and identity amidst the extreme situatedness of their native landscape and ancestral lineage. Working with a queer artistic team and shot in 16mm on the West Yorkshire moors, ‘Withins Within’ attempts a triangulation of emotional poetry, effusive sound design and a landscape whose dynamism is often deemed inhospitable; whose breadth often returns the eye’s enquiries unanswered, or defies interpretation.
Captions and audio description will be woven into the fabric of the new work.
