A experimental portrait of familial relationships formed around a conversation between mother and daughter, my mother’s mother’s hands examines the struggle to put into words the meaning of self-care, social class, and performance within public and private spaces. What is inherited and what is environmental across four generations is tentatively communicated alongside the intimate act of putting on hand cream.
